Fun, Scenic And Thrilling Off-Road Triathlons
The WW X TRI triathlon at Paul Cluver Wine Estate is an exciting endurance event that challenges athletes to push their limits in three disciplines: swimming, mountain biking, and trail running. The event takes place at the beautiful Paul Cluver Wine Estate, nestled in the heart of the Western Cape’s Elgin Valley. The triathlon begins with a 1.5km swim in the estate’s lake, which is known for its crystal-clear waters and stunning mountain views.
Athletes will then transition to the mountain bike leg of the race, which features a challenging 28km course through the estate’s orchards and vineyards. The bike leg includes technical singletrack sections, steep climbs, and exhilarating descents, making it a true test of skill and fitness. After completing the mountain bike leg, athletes will transition to the final discipline: a 12km trail run through the estate’s pristine forests and rolling hills.
The trail run includes steep ascents and descents, rocky terrain, and stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The WW X TRI triathlon at Paul Cluver is open to both individual athletes and relay teams, making it accessible to a wide range of participants.
