DESCRIPTION:The venue and home of the Outdoor & Adventure Expo Grabouw is the Elgin Grabouw Sports Club next to the Eikenhoff Dam\, bordering the Hottentots-Holland Nature Reserve in the Western Cape near Hermanus\, Stellenbosch and Caledon and within 65 km from Cape Town (less than a one-hour drive from any of these). \nThe Outdoor & Adventure Expo Grabouw 2024 was a major success! Day visitors enjoyed the day out\, had lots of fun and loved the outdoor lifestyle and adventure expo\, the “purest outdoor & lifestyle expo”\, being in nature and with all the outdoor activities such as kayaking\, hiking\, cycling\, 4×4 activities\, etc. \n“Nicest venue ever!” “THE best to visit!”\, “Remarkable venue!”’ “Fantastic Outdoor and Adventure Expo!” is what stood out for day visitors. \nThe quality of the exhibitors introducing everything outdoor\, camping equipment\, hiking and cycling gear\, cameras\, battery systems\, bags\, braais\, mountain bikes\, e-bikes\, handmade knives\, vellies and outdoor clothing\, etc. \nNext to the exhibit area were all the food carts\, a beer tent and a kids play area. \nAll the caravans and trailers were placed together which made comparing easy\, showcasing from basic affordable models to the most modern technology in caravans and trailers\, 4×4 vehicles\, 4×4 equipment and 4×4 auxiliary equipment suppliers were on display showcasing the latest and brand-new technologies. \nAccess to the Eikenhof Dam allows for non-motorised water sports\, including kayaks\, water bikes\, etc. \nThe Outdoor & Adventure Expo Grabouw has grown immensely since its launch in 2023\, doubling in quality exhibitors every year. “Our core success lies in the unique product offering at breathtaking venues set in nature; pure outdoor lifestyle\, adventure and activities focused\,” says André Verster\, organiser of the event. “It is not a music festival; it is not a flea market; it is not an agricultural show – it is an authentic outdoor experience. \n“We’ve added an Outdoor Destinations Hall at the Grabouw event for 2025\, with exhibitors showcasing leisure destinations\, adventures such as ziplines\, hiking\, 4×4 and overlanding routes\, eco-friendly quad bikes\, etc.” \nThe Outdoor & Adventure Expo is a great day outing for the whole family\, lots of great food vendors and a beer tent\, kids entertainment\, non-motorised water sport\, hiking\, cycling or 4×4 drive-outs on the independently operated Grabouw 4×4 and AWD Routes.
